| WAIT UNTIL DARK (September/October 2009) | |
|
Wait Until Dark
involves a sinister con man and two ex-convicts who are about to meet their match. They have traced the location
of a mysterious doll (with several grams of heroin sewn inside), which they are much interested in,
to the Greenwich Village apartment of Sam Hendrix and his blind wife, Susy. The con man and his ex-convicts,
through a cleverly constructed deception, convince Susy that the police have implicated Sam in the woman’s murder,
and the doll, which she believes is the key to his innocence, is evidence. She refuses to reveal its location when
she figures out she is the victim of a bizarre charade. Susy knows the only way to play fair is by her rules, so
when darkness falls she turns off all the lights leaving both of them to maneuver in the dark until the game ends.

| CINDERELLA (January/February 2010) | |
|
Cinderella
is a magical fairy tale of timeless enchantment that is reborn with the Rodgers & Hammerstein
hallmarks of originality, charm and elegance. Originally presented on television in 1957
starring Julie Andrews, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella was the most widely viewed program
in the history of the medium. Its recreation in 1965 starring Lesley Ann Warren was no less
successful in transporting a new generation to the miraculous kingdom of dreams-come-true,
and so was a second remake in 1997, which starred Brandy as Cinderella and Whitney Houston
as her Fairy Godmother. As adapted for the stage, with great warmth and more than a touch of
hilarity, the hearts of children and adults alike still soar when the slipper fits.
